The 2019 review of racing in and around Switzerland in book form
The 36th yearbook about the Swiss racing scene on two, three and four wheels was recently presented at the Drivingcenter Event Seelisberg.
Many celebrities from the scene accompanied the publication, which was founded by Stefan Lüscher in 1984 and has become an important part of the Swiss motorsport scene over the years.
Stefan Lüscher, who fell seriously ill around seven years ago, received his well-deserved thanks from the numerous guests in the form of a magnificent standing ovation. Stefan had his laudatory speech delivered by Edi Engelberger, who thanked him for all the support he had received. Chapeau Stefan for your tireless commitment!
Despite the generally difficult times in motorsport, some Swiss drivers once again made their mark in international motorsport: Sebastien Buemi won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Toyota, Nico Müller took the vice-championship title in an Audi after a sensational DTM season, Patric Niederhauser won the ADAC GT Masters Trophy in an Audi R8 and, last but not least, Tom Lüthi came 3rd overall in the Moto2 class.
As we at "zwischengas" in Priori are responsible for the historic sector, we must of course not forget Bruno Weibel in particular, as he achieved the coveted triple in 2019 and became European Formula Junior Champion for the third time in a row with his Lotus. He also won the class in all five years in which he drove Formula Junior.
