Cookie is progress

On the long list of things the world doesn't need, they occupy a top spot: cookie cutters in the shape of cars. And yet their shape, reduced to a few characteristic lines, makes it easy to recognize what the article on the development of the Ford streamline explains in so many words: namely how much more fluid body shapes have become over a period of almost 40 years. But which method of analytical design theory is the drier one depends on the chosen cookie recipe.
Incidentally, the automotive shape for the crumbly sweet cookie is not completely out of thin air. The ATS alloy wheels, which are known in German under the somewhat martial nickname "Hackmesser", are known to English fans under a much more romantic name: Cookie Cutter.
