The "short" first "S" - Porsche 911 S
Summary
Even the first Porsche 911 (originally called the 901) with 130 hp was not weak, but in the summer of 1966 the Zuffenhausen-based company presented the S model with 160 hp at 6600 rpm. "From racing to the road" could be taken literally here, but the 911 S was by no means averse to everyday use. This vehicle report looks back at the history of the early 911 S and shows it in historical and current pictures.

From the outside, the "S" could be recognized by the standard Fuchs rims in silver.
