The highly personal vehicle

Very few people can say that a car was built for them. I had a wonderful friend, now sadly deceased, who collected MG cars - not only because he liked the shape of the cars, but also because they bore his initials in the brand emblem. This fascinated me even as a young boy. Today, I also drive a classic car with the letters MG on the radiator - no doubt in his honor.
I could even drive a car with my own initials today. In Merano, there was suddenly a car with the letters "dr" on the radiator grille in front of me. Of course, I immediately interpreted this as "Daniel Reinhard", not as "Doctor", and certainly not as what it is actually supposed to mean: DR Automobiles - an Italian car manufacturer founded by Massimo di Risio in July 2005 and which began manufacturing cars in November 2007.
Although the vehicles with my initials would be much more special, I prefer to stay away from them and remain loyal to the English. Firstly, because the Italians are almost exclusively SUVs of questionable design - and secondly, because nothing about them is really Italian apart from the brand name. All DR cars are Chinese licensed constructions. This also applies to all modern MGs - but fortunately not to the ones my friend once collected.
