Age becomes noticeable

In 1987, the legendary Ferrari F40 with its engine removed was on display on the factory stand at the Geneva Motor Show. This car will forever hold a top position in Ferrari's eternal hierarchy of the best.
37 years later, one of these F40s is once again on display at the 91st Geneva Motor Show in the so-called "Adrenalin Zone", which means that it is in the historical exhibition of what is actually a forward-looking show. However, practically all the cars in this "side exhibition" are significantly more interesting than those in the main hall.
This is already evident in the technology. The engine of the F40 is a wonderful 3-liter V8 biturbo with around 540 hp. A few meters further on we see an electric motor, but all we actually see is a "pile of aluminum", because you can't see much of it, even though it is supposed to have a peak power of 230 kW, whatever that means.
The MG Cyberster also has the equivalent of 540 hp, but with an unladen weight of 1985 kg. In terms of performance, it is therefore on a par with the Ferrari, but it is 731 kg heavier than the F40, which weighs 1254 kg. The power-to-weight ratio of the Ferrari is therefore 2.3 kg/hp, while the MG is (still) inferior with 3.7 kg/hp.
Yes, times are changing, we are getting older and are still more and more fascinated by the old, we have our problems with all the modern things. Although it has to be said that not everything is quite so bad.
