The excitement before the start
08/21/2022
Anyone who has ever been at the start of a rally knows that there is always a bit of excitement, that the participants get restless and impatiently long for the imminent departure.
The closer the start time gets, the more palpable the tension.
It probably makes no difference whether the cars cost EUR 20,000 or 60 million (as at the Tour d'Elégance Pebble Beach).
Redemption only comes when the engines start
Now, finally, it's time to drive off and look ahead.
The Ferrari 250 GTO is also allowed to show off its temperament and demonstrate its acoustic aura, the admiration of all spectators is assured.
But almost more than the Ferrari, this small prototype, the Autobianchi Runabout from 1969, deserved the public's appreciation, as it was not necessarily expected to be able to drive at all. After all, it is a concept car that made its debut at the 1969 Turin Motor Show.
We would like to thank Frank Wilke from Classic-Analytics for the photos of the event!
