Opel upside down

The first glance leaves only a vague feeling that something is wrong here. Only on second glance do you notice that the two crossed flags on the rear fin of this Opel Rekord P2 Caravan are upside down. The strange thing about it is that the station wagon is said to be unrestored and still has its original paintwork. The polish residue on the edges of the trim reveals that the two flags have not only recently taken up their unusual position. It is therefore quite possible that they were already attached in this way at the factory in Rüsselsheim when concentration briefly waned towards the end of the night shift. On the right-hand side, the flags are mounted the right way round.
The Hessians seem to twist emblems more often. On a friend's Opel Omega GL diamond, the gemstone was quickly turned into an iceberg - also only on the left, of course.
