Alitalia is history (or at least almost)

For car enthusiasts, Alitalia is not just an airline, but also the brand that won the World Rally Championship with the Lancia Stratos. Now the airline Alitalia is history, the last flight was operated on October 14, 2021. As of October 15, 2021, "ITA" (for Italia Trasporto Aereo) has taken over.

However, the aircraft will continue to bear the Alitalia logo, as ITA also took over the brand rights from Alitalia. Aviation industry experts give the new airline only limited chances, but we shall see.

But with the survival of the "Alitalia" brand, perhaps in the future there will still/again be such wonderful advertising shots as in 1967.
