The right music in the car (car connoisseur quiz)
10/01/2021
From the 1960s onwards, the car radio was one of the extras that many drivers bought when they bought a new vehicle. Music in the car put people in a good mood and kept them awake. People were therefore prepared to pay a considerable premium for a factory car radio or to install a receiver they had bought themselves.
The range grew and prices fell, so that by the 1980s at the latest, hardly any cars were driving around without a radio with or without a cassette player.
We ourselves remember many different devices that were installed in our own or borrowed cars. But decades later, can we still correctly identify them and assign them to the manufacturer?
For our latest car connoisseur quiz, we have selected ten car radios/cassette players from our photo archive. It is now up to our readers to name the brands correctly from five possible answers. Do you want to give it a try?
