Where has the stylish humor gone?

Can you still remember the days when automotive magazines humorously criticized or poked fun at car designers and manufacturers?
The drawing shown here is from the early 1950s. Those in the know will of course immediately see that it is about Buick and that the famous side air vents were the reason for the drawn humor.
Incidentally, the models of the time looked something like this (the photo shows a Buick Roadmaster Riviera Convertible). The drawing (as a sedan) is very accurate, isn't it?
