The DKW from Fissore
09/07/2020
Hardly anyone in this country has ever seen the elegant DKW-based coupé from Fissore. In 1959, the masters of the Italian Carrozzeria Fissore bodyworked a chassis on the initiative of the Italian DKW importer, but the Italians showed little interest in a not entirely cheap two-stroke coupé. Around 150 units were built, then production was moved to Argentina in 1964. The overseas examples were only sold there, with a DKW 3-cylinder two-stroke engine and 4-speed steering wheel gearbox. In two years, 701 units left Industrias Automotriz de Santa Fé S.A., 226 of which belonged to the 2nd series.

It was precisely because of rarities like these that the trip to the beautiful little town was worthwhile in the Corona year 2020. Our detailed reportshows many other elegant rarities and classics in addition to the DKW-Vermag Fissore Coupé.
