Optimistic classic car scene - the pandemic is not harming classic cars (Question of the week)
09/28/2020
The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on major events and smaller events in the classic car scene was huge this summer, but will this crisis also have a long-term effect on the attractiveness of classic and vintage cars? Because cars were moved less, they collected dust and one or two owners probably wondered whether they should part with their classic/youngtimer. A recovery of the situation seems very uncertain before the start of 2021.
So we wanted to know from our readers how this will affect them and put forward the following " question of the week" : Will the classic car scene be the same again after Corona?
Zwischengas readers are pretty optimistic about the future. Around 91 percent of the almost 200 respondents assume that the classic and vintage car scene will be at least partially as attractive as before. 47 percent emphasize the "partially", while 44.4 percent even assume that there will be pent-up demand and that the scene could become even bigger and more attractive.
Four percent disagree and expect the vintage and classic car scene to shrink.
Finally, 4.5 percent have a view not covered by the answers.
Graphically, the result looks like this:
And we have already posted a follow-up question online, now we want to know specifically whether more or fewer carswere driven this summer due to corona .
