Less driving in classic cars during the Corona summer (question of the week)
The summer of 2020 had a very special flavor with Corona and Co. But has the pandemic also had an impact on our hobby, especially on our rides and the kilometers we have covered? We wanted to find out with a " question of the week" .
17.6 percent took advantage of the emptier roads and extra free time to drive their old car more often.
27.7 percent of the 278 respondents stated that they had driven around the same amount in a classic/young car as in other years.
25.9 percent tended to drive slightly fewer kilometers than in other years.
26.3 percent clearly sat in their old car less and therefore drove significantly less than in other years.
In other words, 53.2 percent drove less overall than in other years. This was probably due to the lack of events and travel restrictions, as well as closed hotels/restaurants, etc.
2.5 percent also stated that they did not find themselves in any of the answers given.

Of course, the next question of the week has already been posted . In view of the large population of cars from the eighties and nineties, it deals with whether the minimum age for classic cars for the H license plate (D) or veteran registration (CH) should be raised to 40 years.
