Summary
With the 124, Fiat presented a car that was at the lower end of the mid-size class in terms of engine capacity, but whose engine power, spaciousness and possible driving performance were far higher. Four doors, a powerful engine, plenty of space and excellent roadholding were offered at an unusually attractive price. This test report explains whether the Fiat 124 had to fight for its market share in Germany in 1966.

With the 124, Fiat presents a car that is at the lower end of the mid-size class in terms of displacement, but whose engine power, spaciousness and possible driving performance are far higher and which puts some seemingly larger cars from competitors in the shade and will still give various factories a headache.
