The much too little known Aldo Brovarone (obituary)
It was in the fall of 2017 when we last met Aldo Brovarone in Turin, the world capital of car design. An alert old man, 91 years old at the time, content with his life and just back from the office, where he extended his driving license for another two years.
For all those who are not familiar with the name Brovarone, here are a few examples of his work: Alfa Romeo 6C 3000 CM, Superflow, Alfa Romeo Duetto, Ferrari 500 Superfast, Dino 206/246 GT, Lancia Gamma Coupé or Peugeot 504 (see picture).
Some of these designs by Brovarone are primarily associated with his employer Pininfarina. From 1953 to 1983, the Italian worked for the coachbuilder and designer Pininfarina, and later for his own design studio.
His structured thinking and immense memory for detail, even at the age of 91, were impressive and we will never forget them. On October 12, 2020, Brovarone died at the age of 94. Many of his works will outlive us all.

P.S. Incidentally, Brovarone also brought the Ferrari F40 back into shape. The original prototype looked considerably less attractive than the production model improved by Brovarone ...
