Duck with torque
12/17/2019
A pretty old duck, but at second glance it no longer looks quite like its sisters. The exhaust is obviously missing. But more on that later.
The Citroën 2CV is not exactly known for its rapid progress. But it was an indestructible everyday vehicle with a likeable charisma and is therefore still loved today.
The French company Mehari Loisirs Technologie SAS has already given the Méhari a second electric life, and now the duck has been added to the list. It is said to be 15 kW strong and thanks to its 20 kWh battery capacity, it should certainly be able to travel over 150 km on a single charge, depending on how you drive. It is called the "E-Classic", this electric duck, and it should certainly outrun the original from a standing start. If you like that sort of thing. The price is said to start at EUR 30,900, which is significantly more expensive than an e-Up from Volkswagen, for example, but of course also much more classic in appearance. And, if the picture of our reader Andreas Lehmann from Lyon is not misleading, the original substance should remain largely intact.
However, we ourselves would still rather hear a two-cylinder engine chattering away in front of us and operate the good old drawer gearshift ....
