The joy of Hans Joachim Stuck on the BMW 1502
12/28/2013
In 1975, BMW proudly announced that Hans Joachim Stuck took great pleasure in driving the BMW 1502.
Well, the little brother of the 1602 was also fun to drive. Although the OHC engine was throttled, the lack of 10 hp did not have such an impact on everyday driving. The only negative was the 0.6 liter higher standard consumption, but this was compensated for by the fact that you could fill up with normal instead of premium petrol.
The speedy Strietzel, whose racing career was on a steady upward trajectory at the time, was probably even more attracted to the new top model in the five-series, which was presented at around the same time, as the 528 made it possible to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in under ten seconds and ran at a whopping 193 km/h. An ideal means of transport for traveling from racetrack to racetrack.
And for even greater space requirements, BMW had also extended the 2.8/3.0 L saloon by 10 cm.
