Our new quiz - cars that were never built in series ....
12/31/2013
When the automobile moved from individual to series production, the need soon arose to test the suitability for series production using prototypes and pre-series. By the end of the 1930s, concept cars were being built to test new design ideas and market acceptance.
Hundreds or even thousands of more or less sensational prototypes were created, shown at motor shows and world exhibitions or tested in secret.
Many of these vehicles were almost ready for series production and yet never made it into mass production. Some were soon forgotten, even though they are important contemporary witnesses. We have dusted off some of them and put them together for a new quiz .
Who can correctly identify all ten prototypes? Which ones are easy to identify and which ones are difficult? We are looking forward to the feedback !
We will soon be publishing reports on some of the individual pieces, that much we can already reveal.
