Our latest quiz for car connoisseurs - wheels and rims
03/31/2013
Our latest quiz is about the wheels that keep our classic cars on the road and moving.
While nowadays the different wheel/tire combinations for a new car are listed in the price list, 30 years ago and more there was exactly the rim that the car manufacturer thought was right. This was often characteristic of the car purchased. As steel rims were mostly fitted in the 1950s and 1960s, differentiation from other models and manufacturers was achieved through the design of the hubcap. If we see the car and wheel together, it is easy to recognize, but what if the impression of the vehicle as a whole is missing?
For the quiz, we have selected ten wheel/rim/tyre combinations (on the vehicle) from our archive and the task is to recognize and name the vehicles for the wheel combinations shown! Would you like to try? It's a bit like looking for Easter eggs, but much more challenging.
