When the father with the son ...

At heart, every father wants a progenitor, but that's not all. Of course, he should also share his hobbies. In our case, the ideal solution is for him to be born with gasoline in his blood.
So you often see father and son sharing a cockpit, or even, and not only in the Jungfrau Klassik, more and more often mother and daughter.
Of course, father and daughter also form a team from time to time. For example, the motoring pundit Mario Illien often competes in classic car events with his daughter.
In the picture we see the Dutch ex-F1 Bridgestone tire man Kees van de Grint with his son in the René Bonnet. Everything is just right here, right down to the clothing (picture above). There is no doubt about the father-son relationship here.
If at some point the father gets a bit old, it doesn't have to be because he can't take part, you just swap places.
It's sad when your own children show no interest in your hobby. It's all the nicer when your offspring are keen to take part and have fun at the same time.
My absolute best rally experience was with my then ten-year-old daughter in a pre-war MG at the Moonlight Rally. After the start at 4 pm, we drove into the night together and reached the finish at around 2 am. Occasionally going astray due to minor navigational errors, we were both overjoyed about our night-time foray together. Since then, my daughter has been asking me almost every day when and where we would start again.
