The unknown Intermeccanica Puch
03/14/2013
When you hear Intermeccanica, you think of the Indra Indra of the seventies. Before that, however, the "Construzione Automobili Intermeccanica" had also built the Torina/Italia , the Apollo GT, the Griffith GT (600) and the IMP, short for Intermeccanica Puch.
These small sports cars were built in the years 1960/1961 and most were powered by Puch 500 cc two-cylinder engines, but some were also fitted with larger 645 cc engines. These 40 hp rockets, which weighed just over 400 kg thanks to the aluminum body, allowed for high performance. Ten of the fast version are said to have been produced.
One of these pretty little sports cars was on display at the Retro Classics in Stuttgart last weekend.
Of course, there were also other rarities to be found, some of which can be seen in our comprehensive visit report .
