Why traffic jams occur, or Ferrari as the cause of traffic jams
03/02/2013
For years, a great deal of research and analysis has been carried out to determine the causes of traffic jams on our road network. Computer simulations and real-life experiments are being used to get to the bottom of this unwanted phenomenon.
However, the traffic jam shown in the photo may have a highly unusual cause. Five Ferrari sports cars driving staggered on a multi-lane road slow down all the traffic and form a long line. Normally, you would expect to see the red speedsters from Maranello in the rear-view mirror, flashing lights and blaring horns.
Here, however, advertising shots were obviously taken for the 1983 model year, with a Ferrari 308 in GTBi and GTSi versions on the left and right, a BB 512i in the middle and the Mondial 8 and 400i models behind it.
