9.11. - three numbers and their impact on the world
Today is the 9th of November, a date almost like any other. However, the three digits also stand for Porsche's iconic sports car, which celebrated its 50th birthday in 2013. In September 1963, the Porsche 901 (it was not called the 911 until a year later) was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Since then, more than 820,000 911s from seven sports car generations have been sold. To mark its milestone birthday, a lot has been published about the Zuffenhausen model and we have not been idle either.
The preliminary conclusion was a final report on the special exhibition 50 Years of the Porsche 911 at the museum in Stuttgart. For picture lovers, we have updated a picture magic series "50 years of the Porsche 911 " .
