Last weekend, the Epoqu'Auto took place in Lyon, the second largest classic car show in France (we reported on it) .
What many people may not have noticed was the loving recreation of a brochure illustration by the Panhard Club. In 1964, a violet-colored coupé was photographed in a water lily pond in the French sales brochure for the Panhard 24 CT .
For the Epoqu'Auto, the Panhard friends recreated the scene, albeit using simpler means and painted people instead of the originals. The car, however, was real and the scenery was extremely appealing.
Note: The photo in the 1964 Panhard brochure has been flipped on its vertical axis for comparison.
