The little ones make it big (at the Rétromobile 2022)
In times when fathers can afford classic cars worth millions, it's okay for the next generation to have a slightly more expensive vehicle. This was already the case for the children of the Shah of Persia, who drove a Bimbo Racer V12 or a miniaturized Aston Martin. It's no different today, as a stroll through the Rétromobile in Paris, which is open until Sunday, March 20, 2022 (and has shrunk somewhat), shows.
In fact, you can find a more or less classy vehicle for the next generation on almost every corner.
In addition to the aforementioned Bimbo V12 or a Ford GT40 (picture above), you can also see a Facel Vega "en miniature" ...
... or a racing Porsche 936 as once driven by Jacky Ickx.
And of course there are also miniature Bugattis and Ferraris, even with a passenger seat.
And you can even buy a Cobra for the next generation at Artcurial. After all, the son's car should match the dad's car, so of course there needs to be plenty of choice, which is certainly on offer at the Rétromobile.
The fact that the small cars sometimes cost considerably more than 1:1 scale cars is only mentioned in passing ...
