Original or copy?

At the Rétromobile 2022, you could see an original Amilcar C6 in the special show of the Vintage Revival Montlhéry. All too many no longer exist and prices have risen sharply in recent years.
This has probably prompted the Pur Sang company to replicate the famous six-cylinder sports cars from Amilcar in addition to cars from Bugatti and Alfa Romeo.
The attention to detail is impressive and the replica from Argentina certainly doesn't sound any worse than the original.
With prices of around EUR 160,000, the copy should also be much cheaper to buy, except that there will probably be more serious challenges to overcome when it comes to registration for road use. It's a shame, because the idea of driving a pre-war sports car and being able to fall back on a functioning parts supply in an emergency is actually a captivating one ...
