Admittedly, the Fiat 500 didn't quite fit between the marked parking spaces, it did stick out a little. Nevertheless, this unorthodox parking maneuver shows that a Fiat 500 was a rather short car, 2.97 meters short to be exact.
But this was by no means a record. There was also the Scootacar, which was 2.13 m short, or the Peel P.50 with a length of 1.34 m, both of which would have fitted easily into a parking space. And incidentally, one of each was auctioned off a few days ago . And for considerably more money than some classics twice as long! Shortness runs ...
Nowadays, the Smart ForTwo is probably the shortest car you can buy. But it is still 2.7 m long. Slightly shorter would be the Microlino in the style of the earlier Isetta, but here too it is 2.44 m in length. And it is not yet available in significant numbers ...
