When the name fits the life ... - Alfred Jodl (obituary)
"Jodl" was his surname and yodeling, or rather laughing, was part of his life, whether in a Rally, Abarth or AC. But now his laughter has gone forever. The coronavirus caught him at the age of 59. He is the first victim that I knew well personally, and even enjoyed a very nice friendship with him. Jodl was cruelly overtaken by the coronavirus that is currently circulating around the world.
The lively little Upper Austrian cultivated a very deep love for old cars, especially the Abarth brand, and you could always meet him wherever the old wheels were turning. Our last meeting was a few months ago at Auto e Moto d`Epoca in Padova, where we enjoyed a real Italian cappuccino together at a time when Corona was still a beer. The conversations with him were extremely informative, but at the same time always peppered with a lot of humor.
Dear Alfred, unfortunately you didn't have the power to outrun the virus with the Abarth. For once, something was faster than you. Everyone who knew you will miss you as much as I do.
