The fantastic four

The kids of today would probably assume that the title "Die phantastischen Vier" is the German translation of the Marvel Hollywood blockbuster "Fantastic Four", but as classic car enthusiasts, we can tell from the see-through drawing that this is about the Ford 105E four-cylinder engine.

In February 1964, the American magazine "Sports Car Graphic" published an article entitled "Those Fantastic Ford Fours", describing the engines from FordEngland (Dagenham), which not only made a good trap in passenger cars, but also dominated racing in many racing classes, including Formula Junior, albeit in a much more powerful form.

And today Ford England is also (almost) history ...
