Rare combination of sports car and towing vehicle of one brand
Nowadays, it would be no problem to hitch a Q7 to an Audi R8 or to have the BMW M1 towed by an X5. Twenty years ago, this combination was almost impossible for super sports cars, except for Lamborghini, which actually had a forerunner of SUVs in its range.
From 1986 to 1993, the sports car manufacturer from Santa Agata also sold just over 300 LM002 SUVs. Equipped with the engine from the Countach, it was lavishly motorized and certainly powerful enough to pull a Miura on a trailer. Even a complete V12-cylinder engine could be carried on the loading bridge. However, an LM002 is unlikely to have transported a Miura very often, which is why the sight of the LM002-Miura combination at the Classic Days Schloss Dyck was at least a minor sensation.
We have now published a comprehensive report with lots of pictures and impressions .
