Label fraud on the Porsche?
08/11/2013
Admittedly, we were amazed when we read the license plate "OP - EL 1" on a Porsche 356 .
Well, you could say that since the car probably came from the catchment area of the license plate abbreviation "OP", the owner probably couldn't help himself. Except that the abbreviation "OP" doesn't exist (anymore). According to published directories, "OPR" does exist, but not "OP". A joker after all. That's good! (Addendum, the license plate once existed for "Opladen" and apparently it can stay on the vehicle if the car is never re-registered ... thank you, dear Facebook commenters)
In any case, the special "license plate" brought the pretty Porsche additional attention, even though it didn't need it.
Because there weren't that many 356s in the special "Porsche" parking lot at the AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix yesterday, Saturday. But the total number of Porsche vehicles was quite impressive, as the pictures show!
The AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix continues today (Sunday), as it did yesterday (Saturday), with a colorful rhinestone of racing series. The weather has been kind to the visitors so far, and that shouldn't change today. So, get in the car and drive to the Nürburgring.
Our report on the AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix 2013 will follow soon ...
