Never produced - Alpine-Renault A310 Spécial from 1972
At the Paris Motor Show in October 1972, the sports car manufacturer Alpine-Renault surprised visitors with a study realized by the Italian coachbuilder Sergio Coggiola. Incidentally, the BMW Turbo study (indirect predecessor of the M1) and the Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 production car also celebrated their premiere at the same exhibition.
On the chassis of the Alpine A310 , which had been extended by 70 mm, an approximately 20 cm longer vehicle was created, which above all was intended to offer more comfort than the "normal" production Alpine A310.
Although the car was shown at various motor shows, it never went into series production. A pity, because the interior in particular looked interesting and many an A310 driver would probably have had no objection to a little more space.
