Butzi Porsche, the father of the 901/911 has died
04/05/2012
Today, on April 5, 2012, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, born in Stuttgart on December 11, 1935, passed away at the age of 76.
Butzi, as he was called by his friends, became design director at Porsche in 1962 and created classics such as the 901, which was soon renamed the 911 due to Peugeot's naming rights to all digits with "0" in between. The basic shape, which was created in the early 1960s, has remained to this day.
Butzi Porsche also dressed racing cars, one of the most beautiful results of his work is probably the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS.
The everyday objects such as watches, stationery and sunglasses that he created in his Porsche Design Studio were somewhat more popular.
In the Zwischengas picture magic "Ur-Elfer" you can celebrate a reunion with the early models of the Porsche 911.
