Die Leute von Bonhams konnten nicht klagen, insgesamt verkündeten sie ein Verkaufsvolumen von 35,6 Millionen £ für alle Versteigerungen rund um Goodwood. Am Revival wurden 67 Fahrzeuge im Gesamtwert von 13,5 Millionen £, respektive 20,3 Millionen CHF oder 16,7 Millionen Euro zugeschlagen. Der Durchschnittswert eines verkauften Wagens betrug also 202’000 £, 304’000 CHF oder 250’000 Euro.
Der unrestaurierte S-Mercedes
Als einer, wenn nicht der wichtigste wiedergefundene Wagen der letzten Jahre wurde der Mercedes-Benz 26/120/180 S Typ Sport Tourer von 1928 betitelt. Entsprechend hoch waren die Erwartungen, die mit £ 2’801’500 denn auch nicht enttäuscht wurden. Der Wagen war zeitlebens nie restauriert worden und befand sich über alle Jahre in Familienbesitz.
Maserati-Sammlung zugeschlagen
Eine ganze Reihe von Maserati-Rennwagen aus der Hartley-Familiensammlung kam unter den Hammer, der Tipo 26M Viersitzer brachte es auf 1,681 Millionen £.
Auch ein Lagonda V12 Le Mans Team Car überschritt mit 1,289’500 £ die Millionengrenze.
Auch günstige Gelegenheiten
Man musste nicht unbedingt das dicke Checkbuch auspacken in Chichester. Für eine Fiat-Abarth 850 TC Replica reichten £ 6’900, respektive CHF 10’380 oder 8’531. Auch ein BMW M3 Evolution von 1989 blieb mit £ 13’800, respektive CHF 20’761 oder Euro 17’062 eher unter den Erwartungen.
Wer also sein Temperament im Griff hatte, konnte durchaus zu interessanten Konditionen zu einem Fahrzeug kommen.
