U 50: Cars that were built less than 50 times (car connoisseur quiz)
Almost everyone for whom "car" is not a foreign word is probably familiar with the VW Golf or the Toyota Corolla. After all, these cars were also built millions of times over decades, just like the Ford Model T. But at the other end of the spectrum, there are also cars that were only sold one or two dozen times.
The most famous example of this is probably the Ferrari 250 GTO, of which 36 were built. The well-known Ford GT40 pictured above is also one of the cars built in homeopathic doses, especially the open-top version.
Most of the small-series products, however, have long since been forgotten and are among the failures of the car industry.
We went in search of them and compiled ten vehicles that were produced in small numbers ("under 50") for our latest car connoisseur quiz. You, dear reader, can now try to guess what these cars are called. The aim is to choose the correct answer from five suggested answers.
Would you like to try? It's definitely fun and you might even come into contact with cars you've never heard of before.
