Who needs doors ...

Certainly, a car door usually makes it easier to get into the car. But the large opening is also detrimental to stability and the gaps are not aerodynamic either. In addition, two doors increase the number of parts required. So there were good reasons to do without the doors. Emil Enzmann also saw it that way in the 1950s when he developed his Enzmann 506.
Instead of doors, there were simply small integrated running boards. And as you can see (picture above), even older people can still get in without any problems. Incidentally, the gentleman in the photo is Ernst Enzmann, the brother of the designer, who was already working on the cars at the time.
Of course, the doorless concept was not without its drawbacks. Getting into the car with the hardtop fitted was much more acrobatic ...
P.S. We are currently working on a driving report on the Enzmann 506 for the upcoming hundredth SwissClassics Revue.
