The blue and white Lotus Elan and the fire department
We are always happy to receive reader mail, whether virtual or in letter form. But the parcel that reached us a few days ago was cause for particular delight.
When we unpacked it, we were surprised not only by a fold-out fire engine, but also by a beautifully crafted model of the Lotus Elan Sprint from Spark. The reader thanked us for the "passionately written reports about oldies, events, auctions, etc." and of course made me personally very happy, because with the exception of the fixed roof, the model corresponds exactly to my own beloved Elan Sprint DHC. Even the steering wheel is on the "right" side.
Thank you, dear reader, for this surprise package. The model will of course be given a place of honor. And of course we are encouraged to continue publishing special and exciting reports.
