Now that the first gingerbread and chocolate Santas have been spotted on the supermarket shelves, it's time to get your classic car ready for winter. For many convertible or roadster owners who also want to use their classic car in the cold season, this means fitting a hardtop. Alfa Romeo Germany had a particularly nice metaphor for this at the end of the 1960s: the advertising designers put a southern German felt hat on the northern Italian Spider. However, the actual coupé roof, which cost DM 1098.90, was probably better suited to the fashionable style of the little speedster. In this context, it is not known whether Daimler-Benz ever depicted the Pagoda SL with a Florentine straw hat.
