Wasted tradition

In 1983 , Lancia advertised its own company tradition with full-page ads. And indeed, since 1908, the Turin-based car company had a lot to show, such as the self-supporting Lancia Lambda, the fast Aurelia, the elegant Flaminia, the sporty D24, the racy Fulvia, the wedge-shaped Stratos and the practical Delta. Countless racing and rally successes helped to give the Lancia brand a special sound.
And today? The last Lancia was the Ypsilon, which is currently only sold in Italy (and of which there is even a 2021 model). And then, for a while, there were a few Chryslers with Lancia emblems, which were supposed to ensure better buyer acceptance. Without success.
It is such a shame that this brand in particular could not be saved. At least so far. But the hope that Peugeot in particular could provide salvation here is hardly realistic. Yet perhaps a compact electric car with low weight and innovative solutions - as a spiritual legacy to the Lancia Appia - could roll off the production line as a Lancia ... if it is not to be a combustion engine ...
The complete advertisement can of course also be found in the Zwischengas picture archive , here is a smaller version:
