From another time

A photo like this on the cover of a car magazine would be unthinkable in this day and age for several reasons. Accident pictures have long since ceased to be tolerated on the cover. What's more, today's covers are much smaller in order to cater to the different interests of newsstand buyers. After all, for data protection reasons, no license plate number would be visible in such a photo.
Different times, different customs. Here is the entire cover of issue 19/1957 of "auto motor und sport".
P.S.1. Also worth mentioning is the explanation of the picture:
"This Carrera behaved quite ungrammatically when leaving the roundabout at the Nürburgring. Although the car completely rolled over, the driver was unhurt. (Photo: Richartz)"
P.S.2. For all those who didn't notice it immediately: At that time, they also had to do without an expensive multi-ride print, so they concentrated on black and red. Nevertheless, the picture almost looks like a color photo.
