Function before design?

In the fall of 1969, there were all kinds of beautiful things to admire at the Turin Motor Show, such as the Ferrari 512 S designed by Pininfarina, the revised Dino 246 GT, Giugaro's Alfa Romeo Iguana and the Volvo GTZ by Zagato.
The 1600 Coupé GT Hidalgo from Eurostyle was also on show. The Automobil Revue wrote in its Salon report at the time :
"Two novelties that stand out more for their originality than their beauty can be seen on the Eurostyle stand. These are a four-seater Fiat 125 coupe, in which the radiator surround also serves as a bumper, and a two-seater mid-engined coupe with perforated side members. With a Fiat 125 engine rated at 110 hp, this coupé is called the 1600 GT Sport Hidalgo and is expected to reach 210 km/h; alternative: Motor 1000 GT Sport (70 hp, 170 km/h). "
The designers of this mid-engined coupé were obviously more interested in winning an efficiency award than a beauty prize. I wonder if the car still exists?
