On November 4, 1993, the Lancia Delta drove its last official race in the World Rally Championship in Catalonia. It had already lost its famous Martini livery at the end of the previous season. But 31 years and 16 letters in the Greek alphabet later, the brand has announced its return to the international gravel stage.
Initial photos even showed the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF in the color scheme of the former Vermouth main sponsor. The technical advisor is also an old acquaintance: Two-time WRC champion Miki Biasion was involved in the development of the new rally Lancia for 2025. He expressed his satisfaction after the first test drives.
A turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1.2 liters gives the homologation model 212 hp. Will it succeed in earning a similar reputation as its predecessor?
