Valuable cars will become even more expensive (question of the week)
07/04/2022
The Uhlenhaut coupé based on the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR was sold for EUR 135 million, replacing the Ferrari 250 GTO as the most expensive car in the world.
Is that it now? Or can cars change hands for even more money? After all, there are other rare and special cars that could perhaps be just as valuable or even more valuable than this one coupé. Will collectors be willing to spend even more money on special cars?
We wanted to find out from Zwischengas readers with the question of the week: Can special cars become even more expensive?
Rarely have Zwischengas readers been so unanimous. A whopping 63 percent voted that cars could become even more expensive, even costing EUR 150 or 250 million.
25.6 percent believe that the Uhlenhaut Coupé is an isolated case and expect it to remain the only car to be priced in the nine-figure range.
11.4 percent of the 211 respondents could not decide between the two answers and did not see their opinion represented by them.
Nevertheless, if the Zwischengas readers are right, we will soon be able to announce the next record. I wonder what it will be?
Here are the answers in the graphical representation.
Of course, we have already asked the next question of the week . Now we want to know: Do you maintain your classic/young car according to the original manufacturer's specifications?
