Corona crisis will not have a negative impact on classic car prices (Question of the week)
We've never had that before - two answers received exactly the same amount of support in the " Question of the week" . Out of 383 respondents, 43.6% opted for two different statements. But what is it all about? We wanted to know whether the consequences of the coronavirus crisis would affect the value of classic/young cars.
After all, the coronavirus has triggered a major economic crisis the likes of which we haven't seen for a long time. Will this now also have an impact on the value of classic cars or youngtimers in the short/medium term (1-2 years)? We asked our readers this question.
11.7% answered that pie prices are likely to rise as a result of the crisis, as tangible assets are now in demand again and nostalgia is becoming particularly important.
However, 43.6% believe that prices are more likely to fall as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
And 43.6% also expect the coronavirus crisis to have little impact on classic/young car prices. They will continue to develop as they would have done without coronavirus.
Of course, this makes interpretation difficult. Of course, you could now add up the 11.7% and 46.6% and conclude that no negative coronavirus effects on price trends are to be expected (55.3% agreement)
But interpret for yourself! It should also be added that one percent of participants did not find any of the answers convincing.
Here is the graphical analysis of the answers:
And of course, the next "Question of the Week" is already in the air. This time we want to find out how many of our readers only have old cars in their fleet.
And of course you can read all the evaluations of the previous "Questions of the Week" in the corresponding topic channel.
