VW Golf VR6 or Fiat Punto Cabrio - cars with the best chances of increasing in value (question of the week)
Over the last ten years, some cars have increased enormously in value. The Lamborghini Miura P400 SV, the Ferrari F50 as well as the Opel Kadett E GSi and the Fiat Panda 4x4 1.0 are among those for which at least five times as much will be paid in 2021 as in 2011. Back then, hardly anyone would have dared to predict such increases in value. But which cars will we be talking about in 2032?
We gave Zwischengas readers the choice and presented six cars and wanted to know in a " question of the week " which of these cars had the best chance of quintupling in value.
The selection included cars that are already valuable and expensive, but also inexpensive vehicles that still tend to have used car status.
29.3 percent of the 420 participants did not believe that any of the six proposed cars had a real chance of being worth five times as much in 10 years' time as they are today.
Only 7.1 and 11.0 percent respectively can imagine that the Ferrari Enzo or the Porsche Carrera GT will increase in value to such an extent.
Only 5.5 percent of respondents also saw the BMW 318i Compact E36 as an investment gem, and the Mazda MX-3 V6 fared even worse, with only 4.0 percent backing it.
The head-to-head race between the Fiat Punto Cabriolet S and the VW Golf 3 VR6 was a much different story. In the end, the Fiat was just ahead of the Volkswagen with 21.7 percent of the vote.
Obviously, from today's perspective, it is easier to imagine that a Fiat Punto will be traded for EUR 9500 or a VR6 for EUR 27,500 in 2032 than a Ferrari Enzo for EUR 10.5 million. But we will definitely not know whether this will happen until 2032.
Here is the graphical analysis:
We have already posed the next "question of the week " . The aim is to find out whether classic car enthusiasts will be ready to visit classic car fairs again in March 2022.
