Skiing almost like in the desert ... on the Planai

While some are having fun in the hot sand at the Dakar Rally, others are driving through what is currently the Styrian Antarctic towards the Dachstein. The Planai-Classic reaches its climax today with the two Planai mountain stages from the Kessleralm middle station up to the Planaihof. With temperatures well below zero and plenty of snow, the winter rally in the Enns Valley lives up to its name. Picturesque landscapes paired with great cars make you forget the cold and corona for a short time.
The Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC of Alexander Deopito, with his son Florian in the hot seat, will probably have to be beaten again this year, because at the halfway point of the rally, the winners of the last event (2020) are already unchallenged in the lead again.
