Can you still remember? When you bought a car 30 or 40 years ago, the first thing you usually did was to buy a radio tape recorder and install it with varying degrees of difficulty.
In any case, I installed more than one of these Tacaro devices (bought from "do it yourself" or discount stores). They offered a lot for little money. In the worst case, you also had to place speakers and pull the cables through half the car.
But the reward was stereo sound from a home-mixed cassette! The fact that the sound quality was miles away from today's standards hardly bothered us back then. The main thing was that you could listen to your favorite music.
