The classic/young car drivers will do their bit when it comes to environmentally friendly gasoline (question of the week)
Sooner or later, the "CO2 tax" will probably be expressed in the form of higher gasoline prices. More environmentally friendly or CO2-neutral fuel (e-fuel) will also be considerably more expensive than today's petrol at filling stations.
So the question of the weekwas whether classic car drivers are prepared to pay significantly more for fuel.
And they are, as the survey shows. Over 90 percent are prepared to pay at least a moderate surcharge.
14.7% want to leave it at a small surcharge, 31.9% are also prepared to pay ten or fifteen percent more for more environmentally friendly fuel.
And 43.9% are even prepared to pay twice as much for petrol if they can continue to drive their beloved classic/young car in return.
Only 3.5% are not prepared to pay more and would rather stop driving their classic car.
And 6 percent did not find themselves in any of the given answers.
One commentator mentioned that, after all, petrol only accounts for a small proportion of the total cost of an old car, and he is certainly right. Incidentally, over 400 people took part in the survey, so the results were not random.
