Only one chassis, but two bodies that could be exchanged
When the car made people mobile at the turn of the century before last, only the wealthy could afford such a luxury. And those with sufficient financial means to buy a private car were faced with a choice: open or closed?
Instead of buying two cars, you could buy just one chassis and have two "interchangeable bodies" tailored for it.
In winter, you could be chauffeured in the "Coupé de Ville" body:
A Minerva KK with a 3.3 liter four-cylinder engine with 18 hp
In summer, the warm season was enjoyed in the open "Torpedo" version.
The driver did not have it so good, he had to freeze in winter, because only the passenger cabin of the gentlemen could be adapted to the seasons.
