Why do we seem to forget limousines faster than sports cars and convertibles?
Although many more limousines have been built in the past 70 years since the Second World War than sports cars or convertibles, the latter still seem to be much less of an issue than rare sports coupés or elegant cabriolets. Limousines and simpler everyday cars, which were built in their thousands, are forgotten, while luxury cars, of which only a few hundred were built, are still known to everyone today. An example? Who could say today what a 1964 Ford Consul looked like? But (almost) everyone can recognize a BMW 507. Or do you know the name of the limousine pictured above straight away?
